To find the number of your required map use the following index maps, Province of B.C. and Provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba. If you are looking for a particular geographic name look on Canadian Geographic Names or B.C. Geographical Names, for British Columbia. Both sites will show the scale 1:50 000 NTS map sheet number. For Example the city of Vancouver would be on map sheet 92G3; Whistler would be 92J2.
Geotiff (DRG) is a common raster format used in GIS programs (ArcView, Autocad, Mapinfo, PCI Geomatics, Manifold), PC GPS mapping programs (OziExplorer, Fugawi, Memory Map), and Mac GPS programs (GYPSY Pro, Mac GPS).
The images have their collars removed which allows the maps to be easily tiled (mosaicked) in GIS programs. In OziExplorer, the maps are imported as DRGs and if UTM grid labels are required, they can be turned on in the Map/Grid Line Setup. The images are 150dpi/WGS84 but are also available as 254dpi/WGS84 if more
separation is required between points or waypoints.

PNG is the default format of our digital maps. An 8 bit compression that does not degrade image quality, allows us to package more maps per disc for your
convenience. As an added bonus the images are also viewable in any web browser.

Ozf2 is a compression format developed by OziExplorer creator, Des Newman, which allows digital map images or orthophoto images to be used on a PocketPC with OziExplorer CE software. The format is also compatible with OziExplorer on any normal PC computer. This compression allows for faster loading on both a PocketPC device or PC computer.
